You just need to follow some simple steps to clear the clog.
If the clogging is very minor then a plunger can be used. To solve the problem, you should use this tool first. For using this tool, you do not need to take apart all the parts of your sink but you just need to add some water and then plunge it.
One of the best plungers used for unclogging the sink is a force cup plunger. With the plunger, you need to plunge your sink four to five times before the sink bowl drains. You can run hot water through your drain to check that the problem is solved or not.
In case the problem of clogged sink drain is still not solved then you need to dismantle the sink trap. Basically you need to dismantle your p-trap (it is a pipe that dips low and then curves) that can be taken off with a pipe wrench.
In order to take out a p-trap, unscrew the nuts on its side. You can also put a bucket near the trap in order to keep things in that bucket. After taking off the trap, you need to clean that trap.
The trap will be full of grime and slush that never got a chance to go through the pipe. Clean the inner side of the p-trap with a cleaning brush and clean out all the large pieces that could possibly be a clog hazard.
Now reattach the trap and find out that the problem of clogged sink is solved or not. In case it is still not solved then the clog is expected to be present down the pipe. In this case, a plumber's snake less than 25 feet will help you. While using it, you should wear the protective gloves.
Push the snake down the pipeline more than once to push down the clog and clear the drain. In case the clog is still not solved then you can repeat all the steps or can hire a plumber to solve your problem.
